The confusing and unclear question put to members at the trigger ballot meetings is called an ‘affirmative nomination’. It means to vote for choice and a fair and open selection you have to vote ‘No’.
This does not mean you are voting against Robin Wales or his record. Voting No actually means you are voting Yes to an open, fair and democratic selection.
Robin Wales will automatically become a candidate if there is a selection but it means that other people could also stand as candidates and members could have a choice.
What the ballot paper might look like at your meeting in November (question not yet confirmed).
